Jeannie Regan, Social Practice Artist

By day I am a multi-skilled Swiss Army Knife arts administrator with a steadfast commitment to persuading the public that participation in the arts is the key to a wildly happy life. By night I am a social practice artist who invents opportunities for creative interaction within my community.

I enjoy working collaboratively with a wide range of artists, organizers and community groups. Previous projects include parades, pop-up galleries and large installations. I have been fortunate to have worked with the Center for Craft, Local Cloth, REVOLVE, UNCA STEAM Studio and BeLoved Asheville. While my projects take many forms, I maintain a focus on the generation of empathy as the key to a better tomorrow.
